Description :
  • Preparing and reviewing journal vouchers, transfer of funds, and other financial documents
  • Collaborating with Program Managers to develop and monitor the annual budget
  • Responsible for reporting in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner for various internal and external reports
  • Preparing the annual budget and year-end close
  • Reviewing and tracking provider risk assessments and audited financial statements
  • Preparing various stakeholder and State reports and schedules
  • Preparing cost reconciliation schedules
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial transactions and balances for accuracy
Requirements :
  • Education: 1) Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, finance, accounting or a closely related field, which must have included at least 12 semester or 18 quarter units from among the following accounting courses: Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Governmental Accounting, Fund Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Auditing; or 2) Possession of an Certified Public Accountant Certificate.
  • Internal Substitution for Education: Incumbency in the class of Accountant II for Contra Costa County may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Thirty (30) months of full-time, or its equivalent, increasingly responsible professional accounting experience.
